FROGS and dragonflies could be some of the residents of a new pond at Inverness Botanic Gardens.
The Garden-Recycle-Organics-Wildlife (GROW) project, which teaches horticulture to adults with a learning disability, have spent six months installing the feature.
The group will now look into introducing new wildlife to the area, such as frogs, toads and newts, with a dry stone dyke wall to be built to encourage other species.
Botanic Gardens facilities manager Ewan Mackintosh said: “People have been working really hard so it’s great to see the results.
“The main works have been finished but we are looking into introducing new plants and wildlife such as butterflies and dragonflies — although it will take some time before they settle.”
