New Loch Ness FC lager created by WooHa Brewing Company which is also sponsoring strip of the North Caledonian League team

WooHa Brewing Company is sponsoring the Loch Ness FC home shirt for the 2020/21 season – and has also created a limited edition Loch Ness FC Lager.

Semi-professional club Loch Ness FC hit the headlines last month when images of its new Nessie-themed strip went viral.

Heather McDonald, founder and chief executive of Scottish craft brewer WooHa, said: "We’re delighted to be sponsoring a local team, Loch Ness FC for their 2020/21 campaign.

"It’s been fantastic to see the positive reception the new look home shirt has received from fans around the world.

"I’m looking forward to cheering them on when the season begins and celebrating every win with a cold bottle of Loch Ness FC Lager."

WooHa will also collaborate with Loch Ness FC over the coming season by getting involved in community projects and helping to raise the profile of the club.

Loch Ness FC chairman, Shane Carling said: "It's fantastic to find a sponsor that shares the same core values as the club, so we're looking forward to working on some great projects together. Delighted to have some post match beers from a quality brewing company.”

A total of 20 per cent of sales will go towards funding for the club over the 2020/21 season.
