Meg Sneddon has been appointed by Highland Council as head teacher for Inshes Primary School in Inverness.

Mrs Sneddon has been working as acting head teacher at the school from the beginning of this year.

She joined Inshes Primary when it first opened in 2007 but left in 2014 to take up a new post as principal teacher, then depute and acting head teacher at Milton of Leys Primary School.

She said: “It is such a privilege to lead the school at the heart of the community and to play such a part in its future.

"Having been here when the school first opened, I am excited to build on the school’s many achievements and to taking next steps on the school’s journey together with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community.”
