It is 'happy' times in Inverness as a new fish and chip shop has just opened its doors.

The Happy Haddock is based in Westhill and has 'set sail on a culinary journey'.

Taking to social media the owners said: "Today marks a new chapter in Westhill as we officially open the doors of The Happy Haddock for the very first time!

"Get ready to set sail on a culinary journey with us, where every bite brings you closer to the sea.

"We're not just serving fish & chips; we're bringing a wave of flavour, freshness, and community spirit to 1 Woodside Village. Today, we start our adventure together, and we couldn't be more excited to share our passion for quality, taste, and tradition with you.

"A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's supported us on this journey to opening day. Your enthusiasm has been our beacon, guiding us here. Now, it's our turn to delight you. Let's make some unforgettable memories and fill our community with joy, one plate at a time."
