A NEW festival will celebrate the best of seafood and local craft beer next month.

Located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park - only a short drive away from the coast - The Boat Country Inn and Restaurant is excited to welcome guests, visitors and locals to their new Seafood and Beer Festival, which they will run in partnership with Inverness’ brand new craft “brewstillery”, Uile-bheist.

From Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 16, the venue will be buzzing with the best of seafood with a delicious special menu each day from 12pm, sharing platters and taps pouring refreshing craft brews from Uile-bheist.

After four years running seafood weekends, these became so popular at the Inn that they have now decided to expand on the idea - making it a real party with music, beer and live music.

General manager Magdalena Mazurkiewicz said: "We're bringing Uile-bheist Beer to it's first summer beer festival at The Boat Country Inn and will be ready to welcome visitors and guests to a weekend of live music, seafood and beer.

“With face painting and a treasure map for the kids there will be something to keep the whole family entertained.

“Since we introduced Uile-bheist to our bar, its IPA and lager have proved to be popular with our guests and we're looking forward to sharing it with our visitors this summer.”

Oysters, mussels, langoustines, scallops and much more will be on offer during the weekend alongside great food, great beer, activities for all the family and live music.

Beer and whisky tasting flights will also be available during the event for those wanting to try all the flavours on show.
