A new physiotherapy clinic will be opening in Inverness Leisure Centre on Monday.

The High Life Highland site will be welcoming the Robust Physiotherapy and Sports Performance Clinic to provide physio and sports massage within the Bught Lane facility.

Inverness Leisure Manager Steven Clelland said: “We’re really excited to give our members the opportunity to get a sports massage or physiotherapy within Inverness Leisure because we know what a huge difference physio can make to people with injuries.

“The clinic will be in the strength and conditioning gym making it convenient for highlife members to access the services and it also allows people to use the onsite gym facilities for rehabilitation with support from the physiotherapists.”

The Robust clinic provides services to sportscotland and Highland Rugby Football Club.

Fiona Hogg, the founder and owner of Robust, said: “This collaboration with Inverness Leisure came about after meeting the HLH chief executive Steve Walsh after a Highland Rugby match and we discussed how our clinical services could benefit highlife members, helping to keep members fit and active and achieve their aims.

“We have a team of highly skilled practitioners with experience working within many sports from professional football for Inverness Caley Thistle Football Club and Celtic Football Club to Olympic skiers in the Austrian Alps. Our sports massage therapist, Josh Meekings is a former professional footballer and therefore knows the demands of sports people.

“Our practitioners will be able to provide carefully guided rehabilitation plans to aid recovery from injuries and allow members to make best use of the gym facilities to help achieve their specific rehabilitation goals.”

Appointments can be booked for Monday to Friday here and highlife members receive a 15 per cent discount on physiotherapy and sports massage at both the Inverness Leisure and nearby Inverness Ice Centre clinical sites.
