Despite having faced two storms in less than a month, two Highland roofers are ready to unveil a new anticipated artwork on a community centre rooftop in Inverness.
Gary McIntyre and Conor Farmer from Artisan Roofing have worked hard since October to deliver a new signature artwork to Wimberley Way Community Centre in time for Remembrance Sunday.
Mr McIntyre – who made the headlines earlier this year for a Banksy-inspired artwork on Telford Road – said they volunteered their time on the project, which has been widely supported by the local community and local businesses.
He said: "We have been battling the weather for a month now to get it complete and we're on course to have it complete for remembrance Sunday.
"This is a charitable job with myself and Conor giving up our design and time for free and we have received over 26 thousand pounds of donated materials from a host of local and nationwide businesses.
"Without the kind donations and help along the way from these businesses this project would have never happened.
"It fills myself and Conor with so much pride to be able to do something like this for a wonderful cause and we are delighted with all the positive attention and feedback we have received from the general public and army families from Inverness."
A piper and bugler will be there for the opening, organised by Major Paddy Marshall and 3 Scots. The whole community is welcome to attend the event on Thursday at 10.30am.
"We really hope to see a good turnout from the public to show support for such a wonderful cause," added Mr McIntyre.
