The Nairnshire Naturalists' Club has enjoyed its first summer of field study visits to Nairnshire natural beauty spots.

Organiser Stephen Wiseman said: "We have seen ichneumon wasps and elephant hawk moth caterpillars, listened to willow warblers and grasshoppers and even smelled some rather pungent fungi.

"They were great outings where our collective eyes and ears (and noses) have helped us all to appreciate and share the great nature that we enjoy in this county.

"As we enter into autumn, a new opportunity arises for people to commune and listen in to some great speakers offering tales of wildlife and nature study in the warmth of the Nairn Community & Arts Centre."

The group will meet once a month on a Wednesday evening from 7.30 to 9pm.

Talks will be followed by tea and biscuits and the cost is only £3. We really look forward to you joining us for the evenings - no membership required, just come when you can.
