A Nairn pupil's drawing has been chosen to decorate a Highlands MSP's Christmas cards.

Highlands & Islands MSP, Emma Roddick, has chose the winner of her 2023 Christmas card competition last week.

P4 pupils at Rosebank Primary School were asked to create Ms Roddick's Christmas card for this year with a design that would show recipients from across the Highlands and Islands “Nairn at Christmas".

The winner this year was Devyn, with a design that showed the Nairn Bandstand surrounded by stars, snowflakes, and a Christmas tree.

On choosing the winner of the Christmas card competition, Emma said: “I am absolutely delighted with my Christmas card this year, designed by Devyn at Rosebank Primary School.

“It was so difficult to choose out of so many wonderful designs from the pupils.

“I loved Devyn’s design as it perfectly represented Nairn at Christmas with the bandstand and Christmas tree.

“It was great to get along to Rosebank Primary School to present all the pupils with a certificate and thank them all again for taking part.”
