Nairn man (62) sent sexual messages to decoy girl (10)

A woman posing as a 10-year-old girl was sent sexual communications and images by a 62-year-old Nairn man.
The course of conduct took place between May 16, 2022 and July 18, 2022 and Harry Croft's activity included asking for her to send images of herself.
Croft, who was staying in Glenelg Gardens at the time, also admitted at Inverness Sheriff Court causing her to look at sexual images and wrote to her sexually.
Sheriff Sara Matheson was told by defence solicitor advocate Shahid Latif that his client was currently serving a jail sentence imposed in England with his earliest release in March this year.
Sheriff Matheson jailed Croft for a year backdated to September 8 which would not delay his liberty. She also placed him on the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years.
