A BARBER should have cut his speed after overtaking two slower cars near Inverness, a court has heard.

But before he returned to the 60mph limit, a police patrol caught Lewis Fraser (23) travelling at 95mph near the Norbord factory at Morayhill on June 21 last year.

Fraser, of Shiel Square, Nairn, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted driving carelessly.

Solicitor John MacColl said: “His speed crept up for a short time.”

Sheriff Robert Frazer banned the previous offender from driving for three months and fined him £320.
