VOLUNTEERS at Nairn Men’s Shed have built a range of storage units for Nairn County Football Club for equipment for the club’s growing youth development programme.

Members of the shed have restored empty buildings at the Victorian Railway Station and have created a workshop and meeting rooms for their members undertaking community projects as well as enhancing the environs of the station.

Nairn County FC secretary Ian Finlayson said: “We are very grateful to the shed for these units.

“Some of their members are also involved in youth football and maintenance of the ground and it is this type of volunteer help the club needs to survive.”
