CINEMA Nairn’s committee are hard at work choosing and preparing next year’s programme.

The volunteers who have brought cinema back to Nairn with screenings at the Community & Arts Centre have reported a loss of £600 in the past year due to falling attendances after Covid. A spokesperson said decisions were taken on whether to continue with the matinees, which had very low numbers.

“We agreed to run two next year but the price will rise to £5 in line with our evening films,” they said.

“The evening film price is unchanged since 2012, and in January we will re-instate the loyalty card scheme.”

They hope the public continue to support the screenings.
