Babayaga were a group of former Nairn Academy pupils.

Their Monster Music Bash reunions in recent years have played to full houses at the town’s Royal British Legion hall.

The reunions began in 2016 and proved so popular band member Brian McKandie, who lives in France, said they decided to make it an annual event.

“It enabled us to all get together and enjoy making music again,” he said. “We always catch up too with many classmates and friends from that period in our lives.

“People come from near and far and it’s always a great night.”

They are back at the British Legion on Saturday at 7pm and Bagayaga will be joined on stage by other local artistes and Paris – Les Potes en Ciel, friends of Brian who are making the long trip with him from France to perform.

There are still a few tickets priced £15 available from the Royal British Legion in Nairn.
