Musician to marry high school sweetheart hours after Belladrum festival appearance

MUSICIAN Jamie Colthart has announced he will marry his high school sweetheart five hours he appears on stage at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

The 23-year-old singer with Bloodlines will wed Kirsty Mackenzie (22) on August 5. The duo are from Fort William.

Festival promoter Joe Gibbs said: "We have had all sorts of incredibly romantic stories associated with Bella but this is right up there with the best of them. What a great opportunity to get married – I hope Bloodlines include a cover of Bruno Mars 'Marry You' in their set list."

The festival neary Beauly runs August 3-5.
