Police Scotland are appealing for information after the theft from a car parked in Grantown at the weekend.

A multi-vehicle crash closed the southbound carriageway of the A9 near Daviot at around 8am today.

Emergency services were sent to the scene but so far there are no details of how many vehicles were involved or of any injuries sustained.

By 8.50am Traffic Scotland reported that the closed southbound carriageway had been reopened.

However in a tweet it said traffic was still queuing on the approach which would take a while to clear.
