A multi-tasking Inverness provost has been spotted washing her living room windows during a Highland Council debate.

Glynis Campbell Sinclair was participating remotely in a session of the Inverness Area Committee yesterday when she took a cloth in hand in front of her home video cam.

She is then seen to nip out of the frame to collect a bowl of water before carrying it across the room and up a small flight of stairs to the window.

Cllr Campbell Sinclair took full part in the meeting and contributed on a number of points.

The window washing took place during the closing minutes of the meeting and was captured on the council's video link.

She then can be seen switching on a light to check for marks on the window, before she looks at her phone and runs towards the camera to switch it off.

Cllr Campbell Sinclair’s window-washing began 2 hours and 37 minutes into the debate.

Highland Council declined to comment.

Councillor Duncan Macpherson, of the Inverness South ward, attended the meeting in person and said: “We have all multi-tasked during our working day.

“But it was a surprise that the current provost was not in attendance for the City of Inverness area committee while such important discussions regarding Inverness were taking place.”
