The new town of Tornagrain is set for major expansion.

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has been instructed by landowners Moray Estates to invite bids from housebuilders for two parcels of
land for housing and future community development.

Both comprise the second phase of the masterplan for Tornagrain which was zoned for housing when 5000 new homes were approved nine years ago after an extensive consultation.

Key elements of the second phase comprise a “high quality public realm” realised through landscape design and permeable layout providing “ease of movement and well-composed streets”.

A mix of private and affordable dwellings with a varied range of accommodation types are proposed.

Work is currently ongoing improving and widening the access road to Tornagrain from the Inverness Airport roundabout on the A96.
