Highland Council confirms more than 30 communities mostly in Easter Ross, Wester Ross and the Black Isle will not get their bins emptied today amid strike action by refuse, street cleaning and recycling centre staff as the local authority issues a list of the latest service disruptions according to area

The latest update from Highland Council about refuse collections shows that more than 30 communities will not get their bins emptied today.
And once again, Ross-shire is the worst affected area by the strike action by waste, recycling and street cleaning staff.
However, there will now be a break before the next series of walkouts – which start on September 7 – meaning bin collections should get back to normal.
The local authority is still urging people to continue to put their bins out as there may be a chance they are collected due to the uncertainty of which services are affected.

- Culbokie
- Cullicudden
- Duncanston
- Easter Kinkell
- Edderton
- Inver
- New Geanies
- Tomich
Garden Waste collections will not take place today in the following areas:
- Inver
- Fortrose
- Tain
Bulky Uplift collections will not take place today in the following areas:
- Ross and Cromarty
The following Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed today:
- Alness
- Ullapool
Business Waste collections will not take place today in the following areas:
- Muir of Ord area
Street cleansing services (including litter bin emptying) not taking place today in the following areas:
- Alness
- Black Isle
- Garve
- Inverness City Centre area and part disruption in other areas of Inverness
- Muir of Ord
- Strathpeffer
All other services are operating as usual.
