LAST week the Highland News was able to introduce you to half of this year’s Team Friday, getting in the groove for the 2022 Strictly Inverness dance competition fundraiser.
Now meet the rest of that team as well as all the contestants signed up for Team Thursday, aiming to sparkle on the dancefloor and raise as much funds as possible for both the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.
The second half of Team Friday is made up of: Emma Hay and Martin Mac; Lynda Brooman and Neil Alexander; Sarah-Anne Gow and Graeme Liv; and Gillian Cooper and Luke Matthew Webber.
Team Thursday consists of: Debbie Campbell and Michael Murray; Janie McRobert and Graeme Bell; Kirsty Littlejohn and Bradley Duke; Rhianna Bell and Dan Bissett; Chloe Gordon and Danny Murdoch; Kerri Macdonald and Jody Marshall; Kelly Blackmore and Chris MacLennan; and Scott Crichton and Carly Fraser.
All the couples are undertaking rigorous training in preparation for the main event which takes place at the ice centre in Inverness from May 18-21.
After the opening extravaganza dancers will go head to head on the Thursday and Friday evenings with the very best then competing for the competition crown in the grand Saturday night final.
Fundraising activity continues apace for all the competitors.
Among upcoming events Chloe Gordon is planning a day of markets at the Craigmonie Hotel on March 5, showcasing local businesses.
Debbie Campbell is also taking part in a sponsored walk this week organised by her autistic nephew Tommy, aged six.
The pair will walk 10km from Strathpeffer to Maryburgh.
