Monsterfest will rock out its new home Eden Court later this year when the four-day indoor festival also shifts dates back to Halloween time.
Now scheduled to run from Wednesday, October 26 to Saturday, October 30, Monsterfest will move to the riverside venue where the OneTouch Theatre will be transformed into a rock n roll arena for the festival's signature eclectic range of guitar bands.
After building a festival from scratch in 2018, Monsterfest was hit by the Covid pandemic, but rose to the challenge of returning last November.
Now 2022 will see a shift of venue and dates for the festival's latest appearance.
With its signature hand-picked programme of exciting rock bands at its core, the festival is promising some unique performances prepared specially for the festival.
Eden Court's One Touch Theatre will be at the heart of the festival's line-up.
But, having listened to feedback from the audience – who would like to see areas where they can take time out – Monsterfest will be giving festival-goers the chance to chill out in Eden Court's café, bar and restaurant as well as cinemas when batteries need to be recharged before heading back to the music.
Festival director Iona Allison said “We are thrilled to be bringing Monsterfest to the incredible setting of Eden Court.
"It’s a fantastic venue and a hugely important part of the cultural scene in Scotland.
"Also, there couldn’t be a better time than Halloween for the event to return!”
This year's Monsterfest line-up will be revealed soon, with tickets then made available from Eden Court.
Monsterfest 2022 will take place across four days, from Wednesday, October 26 to Saturday October 30. More info at: monsterfest.rocks
