Police are appealing for help from the public to track down a missing 41-year-old woman.

There is growing concern for Theresa Townsley’s welfare, and police are asking for anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact them immediately.

Theresa is from Tain and described as 5ft 10ins tall, with long dark hair and talks with an Irish accent. She has scars on the left hand side of her neck and head.

She was last seen in Inverness city centre on yesterday but is believed to have returned to the Tain/Dornoch area.

Officers can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting reference 1618 of June 24.
