Highland police 'extremely concerned' for wellbeing of missing man as vehicle located

POLICE in the Highlands are appealing for help to trace a man who has been reported missing from the Carlisle area.

Roderick Augusto (43) is believed to have travelled to Caithness on Christmas Day.

His vehicle has been found in the Dunnet Head area, police said today.

He is described as white, of slim athletic build and is bald.

Anyone who recognises Roderick or has information on his whereabouts is urged to come forward.

Sergeant Jonny Wilkin, Thurso Police Office, said: "We are extremely concerned for Roderick’s wellbeing, especially as he has not been seen or heard from for over a week."

“We are appealing for anyone who recognises Roderick or has information regarding his whereabouts to please come forward.

“We would also urge Roderick to please get in touch with someone to confirm that he is okay.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1593 of Thursday, 5 January, 2023.
