AN INVERNESS man who went missing from his home for four days has been found safe and well.

Police appealed for help in tracing Nicholas MacKenzie after he was reported missing from the city centre.

Members of the public responded with concern on social media after the alarm was raised but it was confirmed this morning he had been located unharmed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that Nicholas MacKenzie, 42, reported missing from Inverness, has been found safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
