THE disappearance of an Inverness street trader suspected of faking his own death in the US has taken a new twist amid reports he sold his home before he went missing.

Kim Gordon, also known as Kim or Kem Avis, is facing 24 charges including rape and sexual assault on a child in Scotland.

He was reported missing in February while swimming at Monastery beach in Carmel, California, but despite extensive searches no trace of his body was found.

A warrant was issued last month after the 55-year-old failed to appear at the High Court in Edinburgh.

It has now emerged that his home near Bunchrew was put up for sale before he went missing.
