Police have issued an appeal to help find a missing person.

Officers in the Highlands have appealed for help finding a missing person from Inverness.

Police launched an appeal on Monday evening after Kenneth Mccarthur Mckelvie was reported missing – he was last seen in the Hilton neighbourhood at around 1pm on Monday.

The force said that enquiries "have established that he may be travelling in a Black Hyundai i20, registration SO11APX".

Kenneth is described as 5ft 11in tall, of slender athletic build, with dark brown/grey hair. At the time of writing, police had not released a picture of him to accompany their appeal.

Police Constable Cuthbertson said: “We have limited information on the whereabouts of Kenneth and urge the public to get in touch with police should they have any possible sightings of Kenneth or his vehicle.

"Anyone with any information which might help us trace Kenneth is asked to call police, quoting the reference number PS-20231211-2623."
