A missing man who had not been seen for more than a week has been traced "safe and well", police have confirmed.

Officers had launched an appeal yesterday after 43-year-old Dylan MacLeod was reported missing from South Kessock in Inverness.

He had not been seen since Saturday, February 3.

But in an update late last night, officers confirmed that he had been traced and was well.

"Dylan MacLeod who was missing from South Kessock, Inverness has been traced safe and well," said a Police Scotland spokesperson. "We thank the public for your help tracing him".
