A man reported missing in Inverness yesterday has been found safe and well.

Kenneth Mccarthur Mckelvie was reported missing on Monday having last been seen in the Hilton area of the city at around 1pm.

Police issued a description of the man and the car he was thought to have been travelling in.

However a police spokesman confirmed this morning that Mr Mckelvie had been traced safe and well, adding: "Members of the public are thanked for their assistance with this matter."
