“The event was dedicated to several young men from Nairn who recently took their own lives and focused on raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.

“Graeme Watson from Mikeysline attended the event and informed the crowd of 150 people, that a new hub is opening in Nairn soon, which is fantastic news for the community.”

Ms MacKee thanked all who helped support the event, her team of helpers and everyone else that made it a success.

She said: “I'd like to thank the Nairn Dunbar Golf Club and their staff for allowing us to hold the event there. Thanks to Jill and Ali Asher of Ashers Bakery, Gordon Bain Photography and Gordie MacLennan our local DJ.”

She added: “Special thanks to the wonderful team of volunteers who consisted of my three sons and my close friends, who deserve credit too as their help and support was appreciated so much.

“They worked so hard with me to make sure it was the best night it could be.

“And finally to the Nairn community who attended, bought raffle tickets, donated to the raffle and gave cash donations, nights like these are only a success because of you.

“I'm still feeling overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of people pulling together for such a worthy cause.”

Emily Stokes, CEO of Mikeysline, said: "We are delighted with the fantastic support from the Nairn community at this recent fundraiser and can't thank everyone enough.

"We very much look forward to becoming even more part of the community in early June when we will start our new outreach support service in Nairn."
