"Mindless" vandals wreck play park picnic bench in Nairn

A PICNIC bench bougth and paid for as part of a community fundraiser has been “mindlessly destroyed” by vandals in Nairn, prompting a police appeal for information.

The incident happened at the BMX track and skate park on the town’s Mill Road.

The bench was bought with funds donated by local businesses for the benefit of the community.

PC Elizabeth O'Grady said: "It's disappointing to see community property mindlessly destroyed and I would encourage anyone who has information to come forward and speak to us."
