Three suspects are accused of permanently biting off a man's ear tissue during an assault.

Martin Hendrie (45), Laura Jane Gilbert (41) and Anne-Marie Rogan (42), allegedly attacked Michael McCrone in Glasgow city centre on July 9, 2022.

Court papers state Hendrie and Rogan, of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, as well as Gilbert, of Inverness, pulled Mr McCrone to the ground on Sauchiehall Street.

It is stated that they repeatedly stamped on his head then repeatedly kicked and punched him to the head and body.

The charge goes on to say the trio bit Mr McCrone on the ear which caused the permanent removal of tissue.

The alleged assault is said to be to Mr McCrone's severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

Hendrie, Gilbert and Rogan pled not guilty to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A trial has been fixed for June and the trio remain on bail meantime.
