Accomplished mandolin players and accordionists will be in the spotlight tomorrow at the Inverness Acoustic Music Club.

A double-header concert features Amy Henderson and Dagger Gordon plus duo Calum McIlroy and Ruairidh Gollan.

The club, started earlier this year to showcase local and emerging talent and established musicians, is held monthly at The Wee Bar in Ness Walk.

Accordionist and singer Amy Henderson is in demand as a tutor and a workshop leader in a community music setting, including projects Talaidhean Ur – The Lullaby Project with Feis Rois in collaboration with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Institute.

Dagger Gordon, regarded as one of Scotland’s leading mandolin players, has played in various Highland bands and released CDs and a Scottish mandolin tutor book.

Calum McIlroy, a guitarist, mandolin player and singer from Aberdeenshire, and Ruairidh Gollan, a fiddle player and accordionist from Edderton, met on the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail in 2017.

They have played at Under Canvas, The Gathering and Dornoch Cathedral in recent years.
