The man admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

Conor Bennett (30) of Carlton Terrace, Inverness, appeared before Sheriff Robert Frazer at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted offending on February 7 at a house in the city’s Boswell Park.

The court heard Bennett turned up at the address in the early hours of the morning and shouted “scumbag” and “rat” towards the woman when she went to her window.

Fiscal depute Hilary Michopoulou said Bennett also struck the woman’s door with his work helmet.

Bennett will reappear on December 1 for sentencing.
