Inverness Sheriff Court hears a man wanted into his partner's house after learning she had been using his phone to withdraw cash.

Gordon Skillen (37) of St Andrew’s Drive, Inverness, became angry and started throwing things around at his partner’s home in the city’s Old Edinburgh Road on November 25 last year.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard he had agreed to leave the property afterwards but, on speaking to a bank teller, found his partner had been using his phone to withdraw money from his account.

Defence solicitor Willie Young said that it was because of this that Skillen had returned to the property and demanded entry, but the woman had refused to let him in.

Sheriff Margaret Neilson placed Skillen on supervision for two years and ordered him to carry out 225 hours of unpaid work.

“If you fail to comply there’s only one place you will be going,” she told him.
