A DORES man who admitted the sexual assault of a woman will be sentenced next month.

Callum Munro (24) appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred in 2019 at a house in Tornagrain.

Fiscal depute David Morton said that Munro pushed a woman onto a bed, held her there, struggled with her and repeatedly bit her.

He added that the woman managed to escape, ran barefoot from the flat and walked to Inverness Airport where she phoned for assistance.

Munro will reappear on July 5 after a background and other reports were called for.

He was immediately placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register by Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald.

Defence solicitor Willie Young reserved his plea until sentencing.
