A 39-YEAR-OLD former Aberdeen man now living in Orkney will be sentenced at Inverness Sheriff Court next month on a domestic abuse offence.

Craig Cooper, now of Bridge Street, Kirkwall, appeared before Sheriff Eric Brown and admitted engaging in a course of domestic abuse towards his partner in a house in Abban Street, Inverness, between June 20, 2021 and June 22, 2021.

The charge goes on to say he acted aggressively towards her, shouted, swore, uttered derogatory remarks towards her, kicked and threw items around the house, causing damage to them.

Defence solicitor John MacColl said that his client was currently on a community payback order so a background report would be required.

Without hearing the facts, Sheriff Eric Brown deferred sentence on Cooper, who previously lived in Summerfield Place, Pittodrie, until June 23.
