Man taken to hospital after Union Street in Inverness cordoned off

A man was taken to Raigmore Hospital on Tuesday after reports were made to police over concerns for his safety.

An area on Union Street, Inverness was cordoned off by officers responding to calls from the man's neighbours.

A police spokesman said: "We were made aware of concern for a person on Union Street in Inverness around 3pm on Tuesday, January 26.

"The man was subsequently taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness."
