Man punched to the head a number of times close to the cemetery in Church Street in Inverness

Police in Inverness are hunting a man who assaulted another male in the city.

Officers from Police Scotland's Highland and Islands Police Division are investigating the incident.

A spokesman said: "Police are after information in connection with an assault committed close to the cemetery on Church St, Inverness about 1am on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, where a male was talking to a group of four other males, one of whom punched him to his head several times."
