Man jailed after swearing at Inverness shop staff

A customer of an Inverness shop became irate when the premises did not stock what he wanted.

Amir Abu-Al-Timen, of Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch had been in the Nickel 'N' Dime store in Academy Street, Inverness on February 10 last year when the incident happened.

The 36-year-old began shouting and swearing at staff and police were called.

Abu-Al-Timen admitted an offence under the Protection of Retail Workers Act at Inverness Sheriff Court and was jailed for 60 days, backdated to February 27.
