Man in court after double stabbing in Inverness

A 34-year-old man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court after an incident in the Carse area of Inverness during which two people were stabbed.

Max Roberts-Dineen, from Inverness, who was represented by John MacColl made no pleas to allegations of assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life, assault to injury, threatening or abusive behaviour and a breach of bail.

He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody by Sheriff David Harvie.

He will appear again within the next eight days.
