A man has been condemned after posting a photo of himself outside a Roman Catholic school with a sectarian flag.

The picture of the bearded man, who is on one knee holding out an Ulster flag, at St Joseph's Primary School on King Street was uploaded to Twitter after yesterday's 2-1 Rangers win over Celtic at Parkhead.

The photograph posted under user @brodie_barnet is captioned "we despise catholic's".

It is understood the man removed the post after a backlash from Celtic supporters.

In a later tweet he said: "Never had so many Celtic fans on my Twitter had to get rid of that hahah".

The account was later removed.

User Ciaran @SkillenCiaran was one of many who had taken a screenshot of the social media post.

He said: "Share this folks. Let's hope his employers and future employers see this."
