Man expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court after being charged in connection with a series of thefts at city business premises

A 19-year-old man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with thefts at business premises.
A 19-year-old man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection with thefts at business premises.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of break-ins to businesses in Inverness.

The four incidents took place between Tuesday July 6 and Friday September 3 at premises in the Academy Street, High Street, Telford Street and Barn Church Road areas.

Police Scotland said the man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant Christopher Macleod, of Inverness CID, said: "We would like to thank the public for their assistance, as ever, and remind them to contact police on 101 or 999, if they see any suspicious activity around a business premises."
