Charge follows A9 crash south of Badenoch

Police Scotland have confirmed that a man has been charged in connection with the crash yesterday morning which held up A9 traffic for more than seven hours.

The incident happened near Ballinluig and both north and southbound traffic was disrupted as a result.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said this morning: “We received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A9 near Kindallachan, around 7am on Monday.

“The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old man, were taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

“A 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident."

The road was fully re-opened around 2.15pm.
