Man taken to Raigmore Hospital after two-vehicle smash in Inverness – then arrested and charged by Police Scotland

A man was taken to hospital earlier today after a two-vehicle crash near Inverness city centre.

The 61-year-old was then arrested and charged by police after being discharged from Raigmore Hospital.

The lunchtime collision happened on Shore Street near Friar’s Bridge.

​A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 1.10pm on Tuesday, October 3 officers were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Shore Street, Inverness.

“A 61-year-old man was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“He was later released from hospital, arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
