Man arrested after A9 crash at Aviemore





A man has been arrested in connection with a crash on the A9 close to Aviemore on Monday.

As reported yesterday, the road was closed at the junction of the A9 and A95 at Lynwilg after a two-vehicle collision.

One person was injured in the incident and the road was closed while investigations took place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said on Tuesday: “We were made aware of a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A9 near Aviemore shortly after 4.30pm on Monday, January 9.

“One man has been taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment."

The spoksperson added: “One man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”

The road was closed for around four hours and was fully reopened at around 8.30pm.
