Highland man in court after £14,000 worth of drugs found in car in Inverness

A man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court after around £14,000 worth of drugs were recovered in Inverness.

Officers from Highland and Islands Roads Policing Unit said they stopped a car on the city's Harrowden Road around 11.50pm on Wednesday night (March 9).

Police said they recovered a quantity of cocaine and cannabis from within the vehicle that was estimated to be worth around £14,000.

Fraser Plaice (32), from Inverness, appeared in court facing two charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

He made no plea at the hearing today (Friday) and was committed for further examination and released on bail.
