A major upgrade at a historic Inverness church was showcased to the public during an open day.

More than 30 tours were given at Crown Church of Scotland during the event.

Visitors were able to take a look at the new nursery classrooms which will accommodate 64 children attending the neighbouring primary school.

The classrooms were created in a collaboration between the church and Highland Council.

Visitors also viewed other refurbishments which include a £150,000 upgrade to the upper hall, the installation of a lift and the removal of pews from the sanctuary.
