Highland Council has confirmed the location of the performance to take place on Sunday.

The council yesterday set out plans for all schools to be closed on Monday and many services to be suspended, due to the Queen's funeral taking place then.

It also gave details of planned performances by pipers to take place at locations across the Highlands at 6pm on Sunday.

While an Inverness performance was included, details of exactly where it would take place were not.

The Immortal Memory will be performed by piper Scott Taylor at the flag pole on the top of Inverness Town House.

Other performances will take place at the same time at the Remembrance Garden by the council offices in Dingwall; on Cathedral Green in Dornich; at the war memorial in fort William; and in Somerled Square, Portree.
