Police raided an Inverness house and arrested two men who were concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine.

A search warrant for the property at Rosehaugh Road, was obtained by officers and executed on December 4, 2020 and cash and the drugs were found.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that an iPhone containing messages relating to dealing and a set of keys for a room at a Greig Street guesthouse in Inverness were recovered from 23-year-old Kieran Reid, of Murray Terrace, Inverness and 26-year-old Thomas Langman, of Missenden Roland Way, Southwark, London.

Police then obtained a warrant to search the room and found more drugs and cash.

In total, 23 wraps of diamorphine with an average weight of 0.43 grams and a street value of £690 were found. Reid admitted being concerned in the supply of these.

Langman pleaded guilty to having 73 packs of cocaine with an average weight of 0.17 grams with a street value of £1460.

The cash recovered totalled £3955 and was confiscated by Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald.

Reid was placed under 18 months of social work supervision and Langman was jailed for eight months.

Reid's defence solicitor Graham Mann said his client was receiving hospital treatment: "It was poor decision making on his part."

Langman's lawyer Marc Dickson said: "He ran up a drugs debt and he was told if he didn't do as he was told, something bad would happen to him."
