A Loganair flight from Inverness to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis was cancelled today. (Wed July 19)

The 7am departure never took place making it another cancellation of Loganair flights from Inverness Airport in recent days.

On July 17 a Manchester flight did not take off and on July 12 one from Inverness to Kirkwall on Orkney was cancelled.

This follows recent disruption to air passengers travelling to and from the Highlands on various airlines including easyJet, prompting some to question the reliability of air services.

The Scottish Affairs Committee has written to airlines and Scottish airports including Inverness raising its concerns with delays to, and cancellations of, flights between Scotland and London.

Loganair is being approached for comment about today's cancellation.
